Teaching swimming since 1938
The Epsom & Ewell Swimming Club was established in 1938 as a men's club and changed to a mixed group in 1979.
We are a non-competitive club that is ideal for children who wish to swim once a week. We pride ourselves on having a friendly atmosphere and only good standards of discipline are accepted.
All of our teaching staff are fully qualified ASA or STA instructors and are DRB checked for working with young people. They teach on a voluntary basis.
Traditional teaching methods are used with no pressure put on any child, this encourages even the slower learner to develop their technique with confidence. Our emphasis is on learning the style of the stroke rather than focusing on speed. All strokes are taught alongside starts, finishes, turns and poolside diving.
Our classes also include fun swims, relay races and sprints. During the school holidays we also play
